Two typographic versions of the same book reference and align with Dewey’s philosophies of education and learning. He advocated an educational structure striking a balance between delivering knowledge while taking into account the interests and experiences of students. If the reader didn’t respond to the typographic layout of one version because of previous reading associations or personal surface preferences the other was a possibility.
